"Precious metals have had value in all civilizations, have survived all financial crises, and can be expected to do the same in the future.       However, it is to all investors' interests that they know what they are doing before investing in precious metals."

CMI strives to avoid hype while attempting to provide honest market evaluations; we recommend only those precious metals investments that we believe will benefit our clients.  CMI suggests investors avoid overpriced, highly-promoted numismatic coins whose gold content are worth but a fraction of their prices.  CMI promises low prices, prompt delivery, and confidential transactions.  We do not offer storage. not offer storage.

Many older gold bullion coin investors are not familiar with the Hungarian 100 Korona, a coin that is identical to the Austrian 100 Corona, except for the design.  Whereas the Austrian version has a profile of Franz Joseph I on the obverse, the Hungarian 100 Korona has him standing, holding a sphere and a scepter.  The reverse has the Hungarian Coat of Arms, a large shield held by winged angels.

Like the 100 Coronas, the Hungarian 100 Koronas are minted of 900 fine (21.6 karat) gold, and each coin contains 0.98 ounce of gold.  The restrike date is 1908.  (A restrike is an official reproduction of a coin that once was minted for circulation.)  The edges are lettered with Bizalmam az osi erenyben

Also like the 100 Coronas, Hungarian 100 Koronas are no longer minted and are among the lowest-premium gold bullion coins available.  Hungarian 100 Ks are less common than the Austrian 100 Cs.  Sometimes a few 100Ks will be included in a batch of 100 Cs.  Dealers often do not distinguish between the two because they are essentially the same coin.

Mexican 50 Pesos restrikes and the South African Krugerrand are other low premium gold bullion coins.

Does your gold have to be reported?  NO!

Gold purchases do not have to be reported.  This myth is so pervasive that CMI feels obligated to clarify this misunderstanding repeatedly.
